Born in Trenton, New Jersey, John Stinger is a well-known impressionist in the Philadelphia/Bucks County area and in New Jersey. Through the years, Stinger has specialized in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey landscapes, and river and snow scenes painted on location. He has also traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe, painting outdoors. Stinger believes that landscape painting puts him in touch with the beauties and wonders of the land and it is his intention to capture the color and elegance of these special places. He is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, the New Jersey Society of Plein Air Artists, the American Artists Professional League, and the Allied Artists of America.
