Marta Sanchez
Artist Bio
Marta Sanchez was raised in San Antonio, Texas. She attended Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX, and received her BFA from the University of Texas at Austin. She studied in Rome during her graduate program and earned her MFA in painting from Tyler School of Art. Sanchez is recognized for her narrative paintings on metal inspired by traditional Mexican retablos. Her work also includes linocuts, stencils, woodblock prints, and mixed media. She lives in Philadelphia.
